I've been reasonably impressed with Sanyo's offerings in terms of camcorders in the last and offer used the predecessors to the CG6, just like HD1 and VPC C6. Both cameras are reasonable, but were absolutely hopeless in low light conditions (ISO400), the CG6 along with ISO of 1600 (finally) giving among Sanyo's offering standard low light capabilities on par with another superior cameras, meaning I could video nearly all of my more embarrassing pub crawls, except for my night club adventures.

The mic (that are part of the screen) is surprisingly sensitive, especially to sounds emanating close by, but very resistant against wind and background noise including tapping or brushing for the mic.

The video quality is 640x480 which is in MP4 format (quicktime) and that is comparable in quality in the latest iTunes movie downloads of the same resolution, if you can adjust so that it is of lower quality. The photos are 6 megapixels which speaks for itself.

PC or Mac Connection is finished by a standard USB cable which also doubles like a charger. Life of the battery also seems reasonable along with the charge time, but having never filmed for upwards of per hour with out recharge A totally free be thoughtful on long trips.

Despite a small number of minor drawbacks Appraisal suggest this camera, it's reasonably durable and fits easily in ones pocket or perhaps generic soft compact camera case. Personally I get it everywhere, I enjoy start filming after which you can pass the camera among friends for a few minutes, after a while people forget it's there, following you're using a multiple perspective view from the previous night, quite definitely well worth the high price.

My only complaints is:

1.) It does not take rapid photographs for example the Canon range can, nor can it take photographs one to another in rapid succession.
2.) No built in lens cap, (you will find there's removable one which comes into play the box).
3.) Slight noise with still pictures (vastly improved over previous models, but slightly more noticeable compared to other brands).
4.) Awkward to stand upright on your surface, but possible.
5.) Little warning until the battery expires.
