This review is from: Olympus D 340R 1.2MP Photographic camera (Electronics)
After reading every review we're able to find, we ventured the very first time throughout the digital photographic world purchasing the Olympus 340 R video camera. I was certainly not disappointed.
After only a few days the digital camera accompanied us to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and Seoul, S. Korea, each of us nervously left our Canon SLR in your own home. You performed marvelously. We found the not compulsory 16MB flash memory card even more than adequate for our needs, even as easily downloaded photos day after day into our laptop.
We were surprised by the standard of photos even in low light settings. We took shots at our conference including a multimedia presentation where surprisingly the projected image on screen was readable! While residing in the countryside from a traditional Mongolian "ger" (tent), we shot a wonderful photo of your predawn sky even the morning stars are clearly distinguishable!
Arriving home we were completely enthusiastic about the photos shot along at the low resolution setting when printed on our HP Deskjet 895 could be Epson photographic paper. I doubt that the majority of people can tell from the prints in addition to a standard developed snapshot. The enclosed Olympus and Adobe application is simple to operate and functional on many your home kitchen. You may absolutely love the Quickstitch utility which simply creates oversized and panorama shots!
One of the only weaknesses we found a little frustrating was the variance within optical viewfinder and also digital one. Once you frame... say, a head and shoulders shot in the optical viewfinder, you can see that digitally you sees a much broader area. Olympus should do somewhat better job calibrating the two main viewfinders.
Apart from that, you will want to use the NiMH charger and a minimum of 8 batteries search to find the best price. Also, collecting a 3.5 inch floppy adapter to the flash storage device has got to be in a major way saver. You merely grab the flash memory card, slip it in the adapter, and then slide the floppy into any computer. You'll save your time and frustration over having cords laying approximately your table, along with a significant download time.
One last item Ya think a 16MB storage device would be too small for your requirements? Olympus, through the website, is providing a cost effective upgrade within the end of December that will allow you to utilise the ultra modern 32MB memory cards.
