This review is from: JVC Everio GZ X900 AVCHD HD Flash Camcorder w/5x Optical Zoom (Electronics) This is without question the best camera / video camera combination available to buy. Flick is totally outstanding and surpasses my prior camera the sanyo Xacti HD 1000 probably and I believed that camera was outstanding. The photos are usually brilliant with great color saturation and reproduction. It turns on almost instantly and then the 5mp stills which might be taken while shooting video will be great quality. Your camera has only 2 drawbacks, a small optical zoom and only fair low light performance. The top quality on the images does much to surpass the limited optical zoom for the reason that zoom can be employed toover 10x with still wonderful quality. Compared to my panasonic Lumix DMC TZ5, a highly rated compact digital and may provide a light performance is similar. Bright indoor lighting is no trouble, but dim lighting ends up in a grainy image. Using tripod or monopod has helped low light performance significantly. Recently shooting images at dawn accompanied by a 32x zoom on video the simultaneously recorded stills were grainy but I captured images I i never thought I possibly could. When the lights are better WOW! The images taken using a recent back countrytrip can be published, and also the video is DVD quality. The whole picture stabilization is excellent likewise with good lighting. The high speed pictures and video are good but in addition require adequate lights. Lastly, it fits inside my front jeans pockets without an excessive amount of a bulge.
