There are probably lots of people nowadays that are contemplating buying this camera to upgrade. Any time you own a 10D next the options are pretty easy, as you become extra MP plus latest features. The center of other portions of photography, like auto focus and lightweight metering including, this camera will never let you down. It beat my XT in most aspect, except price! Therefore, for anyone who is comfortable making worth it get this camera, it rocks!



PS. Concerning KIT LENS: I cannot stand the kit lens while it focuses slowly, renders colors poorly, and produces marginally sharp pictures. I only say marginaly because it is just a shame to couple the awesome 30D with this kind of low performance lens. Instead We'd find the body only and invest few hundred dollars during an excellent prime as well as a decent zoom. Should you be fresh to photography, however, instead of sure points to buy rather than the kit lens consider buying the 50 1.8 Canon lens with all the kit lens. UPDATE APRIL 6: The 30D auto focus is superior to the Rebel XT.
