This review is from: Leica 18400 X1 Camera (Black) (Electronics) For starters allow me to say that I am a competent photographer and i also was looking for a camera that could travel with and become happy. I took the opportunity at the X1 but it paid in spades. This is the great camera. I cannot imagine what my vacation might have looked like with my D3 and five Nikor lenses, batteries, flash as well as the crap that would not have traveled without. The X1 set up to work with and focus's along the art of photography rather than the technology behind it. Compose the shot and pull the trigger, it is exactly what it is about. Setting the Aperture and Shutter speed is straightforward with two dials in the top of this camera. Through experience i purchased the external view finder and the made you easier still to apply. This camera may be very nostalgic as the name indicated and really takes you oh no a time full the place you worried much more about composition than took action today technology. A couple of issues considering. The dials on top will be basic turn however it is not a great deal breaker. I placed you in my back pack which was virtually a bag of ice. The digital camera got so cold that going barefoot fogged up while i reached it out, my fault not Leica's. I am inside the look for the M9 at that point, must find ten to twelve thousand in disposable income... I would recommend this camera to anyone who wants an ideal image and to work with camera.
