    I bought this camera when it first was launched in Japan, (where curiously enough it's a much cheaper option) despite heavy competition using a couple of other ultra sleek hi tech japan only models, and i also need say that I've never looked back.
    The good points:
    form factor you wonrrrt believe how smaller than average portable this camera is. take it out and instantly draw a group! It does not take best to look at those "spontaneous" shots I see it with me at night wherever i am going, and it won't cramp look either (ever attempt search for a party hauling a large clunky camera around..?)

    battery life works on the proprietary (lithium ion?) battery the charge seems to last forever. I've taken tons of pictures within this camera (using flash + LCD on) but still never had battery deplete juice.

    menu/features recption menus experience fantastic, yet intuitive, and provides that you' number of control over things such as white balance, etc. your camera recharges *amazingly* quickly after while using flash, and it is able to take shots in quick succession with minor lag time. The screen is amazing (plus you can actually focus to the picture you're displaying!), and chew up batteries either. Plus you possibly can take excellent quality videos (as much as A short period).

    The not quite nearly as good:
    resolution: this camera shows up on amazon as being 2MP, but my model clearly says 1.82 MP. This really evident in case you check out the pictures to boot (even within the top quality setting). Furthermore the 1600x1200 mode *is* interpolated, as opposed to what the reviewer below said.     One final thing the vast majority of specs for auction on amazon are completely incorrect the digital camera uses SD cards (not type II CF) and certainly doesn't use 4 AAA batteries!!

    All in all of the, regarded as absolutely fantastic camera that is certain to inspire instant lust overall who gaze upon it. I cannot recommend it enough, as long as you're not seeking to take ultra high resolution professional images. Buy this immediately!
