It works out of the box, and comes with batteries. Video is no better than my old (cellphone) Palm Treo 650's camera in terms of quality. !!!!!!!!! Image Sensor: 1.3 Mega pixels !!!!!!!! Does amazon's product title/description qualify (at the very least) as misleading product information? Lens: F3.1 f=6.5mm Focus Range: 140cm/unlimited (normal mode) . 15cm/25cm (macro mode) Digital Zoom 4x LCD Display Screen: 1.5" TFT LCD Photo Resolutions: 2048x1536 1600x1200 1024x768 640x480 Video Resolutions: VGA 640x480, 30fps/15fps QVGA 320x240, 30fps/15fps Weight: its light as a feather.
